What We Offer
We have combined Creative and Emergent Curriculum to be intentional as we teach our early learners.
Creative Curriculum
Innovative, Responsive, Supportive, Comprehensive, and Developmentally Appropriate.
The Creative Curriculum is research-based and supports the development of the whole child. High-quality, comprehensive resources empower educators to intentionally teach and care for our youngest learners during the most critical and formative years of development.
Creative Curriculum
Developmentally Appropriate Goals and Objectives for Children.
There are four main categories of focus. Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive, and Language Development. These things enhance learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, and technology.
Emergent Curriculum
Can Be Practiced at Any Grade Level
Is an early education approach where teachers design projects unique to a child or group of children. The goal of this curriculum is to respond to every child's interests. It's practice is open-ended and self-directed. It depends on teacher initiative and intrinsic motivation, and it lends itself to a play-based environment.
Emergent Curriculum
Emergent Learning and Emergent Thinking
Emergent learning is ongoing exploration with the goal of mastering performance. And Emergent Thinking is moving toward completely unforeseen possibilities that only become apparent when comparing and combining generated ideas.
RAISING A READER
RAISING MORE THAN 1.7 MILLION READERS SINCE 1999
Our Academy understands that when families are involved, children's academic achievement improves. We focus on strengthening family literacy routines and community literacy connections- a method that's proven to work. We send books home weekly for the families to share and bring back to get new books each week.
